1. About LoveSpot & Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of LoveSpot — including our mobile app (iOS and Android) and website at lovespotapp.com — operated by:

By registering an account or accessing any part of the service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to use LoveSpot.
• You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
• You must not be prohibited from receiving our services under applicable law.
• You may only create one account. Multiple accounts are not permitted.

Age misrepresentation: If you provide false information about your age, or if we discover that you are under 18, we will immediately and permanently terminate your account without notice and without refund. Where required by law, we may report the matter to the relevant authorities. We use age verification technology to detect and prevent underage use.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating your account. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your password secure and confidential.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Notifying us immediately at info@lovespotapp.com of any unauthorised access.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Create a false or misleading profile, use someone else's identity, or impersonate any person or entity.
• Post, share, or solicit nudity, sexually explicit material, or graphic sexual content of any kind.
• Upload or distribute deepfakes, AI-generated impersonations, or any content designed to deceive.
• Harass, bully, stalk, abuse, intimidate, or threaten other users.
• Use LoveSpot for commercial purposes, unsolicited advertising, solicitation, or escort/sex work.
• Send spam or request money, gifts, or financial information from other users.
• Post or share content that is illegal, hateful, discriminatory, violent, or that infringes third-party rights.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, data-mine, or exploit LoveSpot's systems, algorithms, or user data.
• Use automated tools, bots, scripts, or AI agents to access or interact with the service.
• Circumvent any safety, security, verification, or age-gating feature.
• Share another user's private information without their consent ("doxxing").

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban, without notice or refund. We reserve the right to report illegal conduct to law enforcement.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you post on LoveSpot (photos, videos, messages, etc.). By posting content, you grant LoveSpot a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, display, distribute, and adapt that content for the purposes of operating, improving, marketing, and promoting the service — including displaying your profile to other users and using anonymised content in product development.

This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, subject to reasonable technical delays and to our data retention obligations.

You represent and warrant that your content does not infringe any third-party rights (including copyright, privacy, and personality rights) and complies with these Terms. We may remove any content that violates these Terms without notice.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

6.1 Subscription Plans

LoveSpot offers free and paid premium tiers (Silver, Gold, Platform). Premium features require an active subscription. All prices are displayed in your local currency before purchase and include any applicable taxes where required.

6.2 Billing & Payment Processors

• Web subscriptions (international) are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record (GBP, EUR, USD and other supported currencies) and renew automatically unless cancelled.
• Web subscriptions (Nigeria/Africa) are processed by Paystack (NGN) and renew automatically unless cancelled.
• iOS subscriptions are processed by Apple via In-App Purchase and governed by Apple's terms and conditions.
• Android subscriptions are processed by Google via Google Play In-App Purchase and governed by Google's terms and conditions.
• You authorise LoveSpot (or the applicable payment processor) to charge your payment method on each billing date.

6.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. No partial refunds are issued for unused subscription time upon cancellation, except where required by applicable law.

• iOS: iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → LoveSpot → Cancel.
• Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → LoveSpot → Cancel.
• Web (Paddle/Paystack): Manage your subscription via your account settings, or email info@lovespotapp.com.

6.4 Refunds

Subscriptions are generally non-refundable once started. Boosts are non-refundable once activated. For full details of when refunds may be available and how to request one, please read our Refund Policy.

Apple App Store and Google Play purchases must be refunded directly through Apple or Google respectively. For Paddle and Paystack transactions, contact info@lovespotapp.com within 48 hours of purchase.

6.5 Auto-Renewal

All paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price. You will be charged on the renewal date unless you cancel before that date. We will notify you of any price changes before renewal.

7. Privacy & Data Rights

Our collection and use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

If you are based in the UK or EEA, you have rights under the UK GDPR / EU GDPR including the right to access, rectify, erase, port, and object to the processing of your personal data. See our Privacy Policy for full details and instructions on how to exercise these rights.

8. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the content you create and post on LoveSpot (subject to the licence in Section 5 above).

LoveSpot and all associated trademarks, logos, product names, software, app design, algorithms, and platform infrastructure are the exclusive intellectual property of LoveSpot Dating App Ltd. You may not use, copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from any LoveSpot intellectual property without our prior written permission. The LoveSpot name, heart-pin logo, and app design are protected trademarks.

9. Disclaimers & Safety

LoveSpot is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee:

• That you will find a romantic partner, match, or relationship through LoveSpot.
• That the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, virus-free, or completely secure.
• The accuracy, completeness, or truthfulness of other users' profiles or content.
• That verified users are entirely who they claim to be — verification reduces risk but cannot eliminate it.

In-person meeting safety: LoveSpot is an online platform. We cannot guarantee the safety of in-person meetings between users. If you choose to meet someone you connected with on LoveSpot, you do so entirely at your own risk. We strongly recommend following the safety guidance on our Safety page before meeting anyone offline.

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, both online and offline.

10. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Subject to the above, and to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LoveSpot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill — arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service, user conduct, or third-party content. Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, or £100 (whichever is greater).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LoveSpot Dating App Ltd, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of LoveSpot; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; (d) your User Content; or (e) your interactions with any other user, online or offline.

12. Third-Party Services

LoveSpot integrates with third-party services to deliver parts of the platform. These include but are not limited to:

• Apple & Google — In-App Purchase processing and app distribution
• Paddle — International web payment processing (Merchant of Record)
• Paystack — African market payment processing
• Supabase — Database and authentication infrastructure
• Agora — In-app video and voice calling
• RevenueCat — Subscription management

LoveSpot is not responsible for the acts, omissions, policies, or content of any third-party service. Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We do not endorse and have no control over third-party content or practices.

13. Termination

We may suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, if we reasonably suspect fraudulent or harmful activity, or for any other legitimate business reason. You may delete your account at any time via Settings in the app.

Upon termination, your right to use LoveSpot ceases immediately. Account termination for violation of these Terms does not entitle you to any refund for unused subscription time. Sections 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, and 14 of these Terms survive termination.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Informal resolution first: Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at info@lovespotapp.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will try to resolve any complaint within 30 days.

If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory local consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

15. Nigerian Users

For users based in Nigeria, LoveSpot Dating App Limited operates in compliance with the Nigerian Consumer Protection Act (Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018). Where Nigerian law provides greater consumer protections than those described in these Terms, those protections apply. For Nigerian consumer complaints unresolved by LoveSpot, you may escalate to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).

16. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email or an in-app notification before the change takes effect. For minor changes (such as corrections or clarifications), we may update the Terms without advance notice. Your continued use of LoveSpot after the effective date of any revision constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
